Workshops on 'Invent Android Apps using MIT AppInventor'

In association with Unnat Bharat Abhiyan(UBA), a program of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, the Information Technology Department, Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi conducted the following workshops on Invent Android Apps using MIT AppInventor.The workshops was coordinated and conceptualized by a group lead by Head of Information Technology department, Dr. Nilesh B. Fal Dessai and Faculty Coordinator Prof. Soniya Usgoankar with a team of final year IT studentsAmbuja Kamat, Shaunak Kuncolienkar, Dhanashri Wadikar and Sushma Iliger.

Seminar on Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security

A seminar on Cybercrimes and cyber security was conducted on 12 th March2018 at Our Lady of Snows School, Raia. The Resource person was Dr. AishaFernandes, Associate Professor, Information Technology Department, GEC.Over 100 Students and faculty members attended the same.

Interactive sessions on “ICT in School Education” and “Information Security”

The Information Technology Department, GEC conducted a number of interactivesessions on “ICT in school education” and “Information Security” in the month ofMarch 2018 under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.
