Applying for transference Certificate ( format to be downloaded)


1.Application for transference certification is available on GEC website www.gec.ac.in .
2.The fees to be paid by Challan at the account Section, GEC farmagudi.   Rs 5/-.
3.Application form should be accompanied with following document & to be submitted to Inward (Establishment Section).
a.Project; VII & VIII semester elective subjects duly verified by concerned Head of Department.
b.VII & VIII semester marksheet duly attested by concerned Head of department.
c.Fee paid receipt.

I . Applying for Transcripts

1. The application form for transcript is available in the Colleges. or download from here.
2. A Candidate applying for Transcripts should forward his/her application through the Principal/Dean /Head of the concerned College/Department.

3. A Xerox copy of the certificates duly verified and attested by the Principal of the concerned College/Head of the Department of the University should be submitted alongwith his/her application for transcripts.
4. The fees for issue of transcript are to be paid by DD payable at Panaji or Bambolim /Challan at the State Bank of India, Goa University Branch situated at the University Shopping Complex / Crossed Postal Order drawn in favour of the Registrar, Goa University at the following rates:

First Copy : Rs. 200.00
Additional copies : Rs. 100.00 per transcript

5. The form may also be submitted directly at the Goa University office (Section I) after satisfying the condition at 2 - 4 above.

II. Applying for Migration Certificate

1. The application form for migration is available in the Colleges. or download from here

2. The application for Migration Certificate, duly completed, should be submitted through the Principal of the college last attended by the student in this University. The fee for Migration Certificate is Rs.400/- and the same should be paid along with the application for Migration Certificate by D.D./Challan at the State Bank of India, Goa University Branch situated at the University Shopping Complex /Crossed Postal Order drawn in favour of the Registrar, Goa University. The Demand Draft should be payable at Panaji or Bambolim.

3.(a) It may, however, be noted that the Transfer Certificate in original along with a duplicate copy thereof must accompany the application for a Migration Certificate. The duplicate copy of the Transference Certificate will be retained by this Office for record and the original will be returned along with the Migration Certificate to the student on the address given by him in Column 2 above.

3.(b) The fee payable for the issue of Transference Certificate, with a duplicate copy, should be ascertained from the Principal of the College concerned.

4. If for any reason the candidate fails to join the University/Board mentioned in column 5, he/she shall return the Migration Certificate issued to him/her within three months from the date of issue of the Migration Certificate for cancellation, through the Principal of the College through which he/she applied for the same.

5. The Registration/Enrolment card should be surrendered to the College/Department while applying for migration.

6. The form may also be submitted directly at the Goa University office (Section I) after satisfying the condition at 2 - 5 above

III. Applying for Eligibility Certificate

Application Form for issue of eligibility certificate.

The fees charged for the "Provisional Eligibility Certificate" categorywise is as under :-

(a) General & NRI : Rs. 350/-
(b) Foreign Students : Rs. 2,500/- fees towards 'P.E.C' and Rs. 22,500/- one time admission fee.

Application for the provisional statement of eligibility should be accompanied with the necessary certificates such as mark sheet of last University/Board examinations passed, migration certificate in original alongwith a xerox copies.

III. Applying for Convocation

The candidate who have passed the Bachelor's Degree/Master's degree both professional and non-professional, M.Phil & Ph.D. programmes of Goa University and are eligible to receive the degrees are required to apply in the prescribed form during the period specified in the Notification. A Notification to this effect will be issued at least 4 months before the Convocation which is normally held in early December every year. The Convocation forms are to be obtained by the candidate and to be submitted to the Examination Section with necessary details along with the prescribed fees based on the Convocation form. The Degrees of all eligible candidates will be prepared by the University and will be issued to them after the convocation on the following day in the University through Counters open for the purpose in the Examination Building.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP CONVOCATION FORM

1. Candidate seeking admission to more than one Degree/Diploma must make a separate application for each Degree/Diploma and pay a separate fee in respect of each application.

2. Application forms can be obtained from the State Bank of India University Branch or can be downloaded from the Goa University website: unigoa.ac.in

3. After obtaining the Convocation Form, the Candidate may make cash payment of prescribed fees through bank challan at University branch of the State Bank of India. In case of payment made by Indian Postal Order/ Bank Demand Draft, the same should be drawn in favour of The Registrar, GoaUniversity, payable at Panaji.

4. The fees charged for various Degrees/Diplomas at the convocation are as follows.

Non Professional Degrees : B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., M.Com., M.Com.(DEM), M.Com.(DE), M.A., M.Phil., M.Sc. and Ph.D. ... Rs. 500/-

Professional Degrees : All other Degrees/Diplomas ... Rs.750/-

Postal Charges in respect of applicant staying Outside the Country and desirous of obtaining the Degree by Post ... Rs.300/-

5. The Degree/Diploma Certificate will be issued as per the name indicated in the marksheet of the Examination passed by the Candidate. Therefore, the candidate is advised to enter his/her name as stated in his/her marksheet.

6. In respect of M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S., & B.H.M.S. Degrees only those candidates who have completed their internship training are eligible to apply for the Convocation Degree. Such students should furnish the proof of completion of their respective internship training.

7. Candidate whose result is awaited consequent to their applying for revaluation is advised not to apply for the Convocation as the Degree will be awarded based on the earlier result.

8. After making the payment of fees the candidates are required to visit the University along with the filled in form. The duly filled in application form should be submitted to the University Examination Section alongwith the enclosures as indicated at Sr.No.9 before the last day notified for the receipt of the application form. The Candidate should make sure to collect the acknowledgement slip in return.

9. The following documents should be enclosed along with the Convocation form.

a) Copy of Marksheet of the qualifying examination.

b) 2 Passport size photographs (3.5cms x 3.5cms) only to be enclosed (One Photo to be pasted on the form and other Photo to be enclosed in an envelope and attached to the form). No Polaroid photograph will be accepted.

c) Bank Challan copy/Demand Draft/Indian Postal Order.

d) In case of Ph.D & M.Phil. Candidates, a copy of their declaration of result

should be attached.

10. Applications with incorrect or incomplete entries are liable to be rejected.

11. The last date for receipt of the application form is 31/08/2010.

12. No Degrees will be distributed at the Convocation venue on the day of the

Convocation.

14. The candidate desirous to collect his/her Degree/Diploma Certificate should collect the same from the University Examination Section within 10 days from the date of Convocation by producing the acknowledgement slip, failing which, the same will be sent by Registered A/D. The University accepts no responsibility for any loss/non- delivery of the Certificate.

Preparation of the Degrees will be carried out only after ascertaining the candidates eligibility for the award of the same. Mere acceptance of the convocation application form does not confer any right to the applicant's eligibility for award of the Degree/Diploma for which application is submitted.

III. Applying for Duplicate Mark Sheets /Other Documents

The candidate applying for issue of duplicate documents should submit the following information:

1. An Affidavit
2. F.I.R. Copy
3. Duly filled in application form
4. Prescribed fees.

The application for issue of duplicate documents will be processed based on the above information and will be issued to the candidate in 2 weeks time.

III. Applying for Revaluation of Aswer Books

(Note : fees are changed will be updated within a week)

The students are allowed to apply for Revaluation in the prescribed form within 10 days from the date of receipt of individual statement of marks by them for a given examination. The application form with necessary fees should be submitted through the Principal of the College to the University. The Revaluation result will be declared normally within 2 months of the date of submission of forms to the University.
