Seminar on “Success without Stress”

A seminar on the topic “Success without Stress” by Dr. Prashant Kakode was conducted by INTENSA in association with Rotary Club Ponda  on 7^th February 2020

Dr. Kakode shared his expertise on a topic that occupies everyone’s mind. A well-known figure on the world speaker's circuit, he lectures on a variety of topics ranging from science and consciousness to the holistic principles of life and health. He has inspired and empowered thousands around the world.

World Cancer Day

A Cancer Awareness Program was organised by INTENSA, the Faculty and Students of the IT Department on the 4^th of February 2020,

A Digital Poster Making Competition, an Exhibition Football Match, and an enlightening Street Play was held by the students of IT Department on “Breast Cancer”.

The Initiative was a grand success. The staff and students of GEC contributed generously. The contribution from the program has aided cancer patients through the Indian Medical Association Fellowship. Dr. Manoj Prabhudesai briefed the gathering about early detection of cancer.

Techfluence 2K19 – Influenced by Technology

The Information Technology Engineering Department, in association with INTENSA, organised the first edition of their intercollegiate event ‘TechFluence 2k19 - Influenced By Technology’. It was a state level technical event that witnessed participation of students from colleges across the state.

The two-day programme comprised of various technical events such as Invasion (Project Presentation) in association with Event Basket, UXExplorer, Code It, Brain Wars, Forager, Photography, Let The Design Speak, Meme On It, and so on. There were hands-on sessions for students on GITHUB Pages and SPARK AR respectively.

 The Chief Guest for the inaugural function was Mr. Madhav Ranganekar, COO of SJ Innovation LLC. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Information Technology Department, GEC and SJ Innovation LLC.

 The event ended with a valedictory function presided over by Dr. Nilesh FalDessai, HOD, Information Technology Department, GEC.

Teacher’s Day Celebration

 Teacher’s day in IT department was celebrated on Wednesday, 11th September 2019. The program included a cake cutting ceremony, fun games for teachers and food stalls

Tree Plantation Drive - Vrukshabandan

“Reversing deforestation is complicated; planting a tree is simple”

 INTENSA held a tree plantation drive in collaboration with Pro Active Goan’s ‘Go Goa Green Initiative’ on 14th August 2019.

 The care of our earth is our utmost responsibility. The idea behind ‘Vruskhabandhan’ is to make a promise to our mother earth that we will try our best to protect it by planting more and more trees.
