CURSOR COUNCIL

• The Computer Engineering Students Organization (CURSOR) was formed with the aim to further the knowledge and awareness in the field of Computers through meetings, discussions, seminars, technical events, quizzes and the like, to create a spirit of brotherhood and co-operation amongst the members of the Association, to develop leadership and to inculcate a sense of responsibility amongst the members of the Association.
• The Association is open to the students studying in Computer Engineering Branch in Goa College of Engineering.
• The CURSOR council has a term of one academic year and inauguration is held annually in August during which Guest Lectures are organized.
• The Association organizes several workshops and invited talks on trending topics in the field of Computer Engineering.
• The students  participate  the technical events at inter-department, Inter-college, state and national level as  well as the  annual inter-department cultural competition TANDAV and have won laurels for the departmen.

EVENTS:

TECHNIX 2022

TECHNIX is a State Level Technical Event which was held on 27th and 28th May 2022 which included Technical competitions, sharing of innovative ideas, interaction with alumni and industry experts  and fun activities.Students from various colleges all over Goa participated in the Event.

The following were the events held:

1) Coding events:

     Blind Coding

     Code-o-Fiesta

2) 24 Hour hackathon

    This was a 24hour comptition where the participants were given the problem statement one day before the competition and the had to provide and demonstrate the solution in 24hours which was judged by a panel of industry experts.

3) 12 Hour UI/UX design 

  This was a 12hour comptition where the participants were needed to design an application which was judged by a panel of industry experts.

4) Ideathon

  The participants had to present an idea which may be a probable product in the future.

5) Ad Making

     Participants had to submit a video of the advertisments desogned by them.

6) Replicate It

The participants were presented with a website and the had to replicate it with their coding skills. The website closest to the original was the winner.
