This section deals with purchase and supply of equipments. In certain items need to be bought by a particular department, the concerned lab assistant is supposed to fill in a Purchase Requisition Form. This form includes detailed specification of the requisite along with the quantity needed, approximate cost, probable supplier and justification for the purchase.

Based on the approximate amount of purchase, the order can be categorized as:

• Direct cost < 1500
• Quotation cost < 25 lacs
• Tender cost > 25 lacs
